• 1. Do I have to choose from the Mill Springs house plans, or may I choose my own?

You may bring your own plans if you like. However, the established design aesthetic for Mill Springs is Craftsman-style, so in order to maintain continuity we do require all plans to be approved by our designer. The internet is a great source for plan ideas!

  • 2. Do we have to use your builders?

Mill Springs does not hire any builders. You will need to bring in your own builder; or, if you don’t have a preferred contractor we would be happy to connect you with some of the builders who have done consistent, high-quality work here in Mill Springs.

  • 3. How soon after purchasing a lot do we have to begin building?

You have one year from the time you purchase the lot to begin construction, and another year from that date to finish your home.

  • 4. I work in Victoria; is there a commuter bus service?

Yes! There is a park ’n ride lot for commuters just 2 blocks away from Mill Springs. There is also a Ride Share program available in the area.

For additional fresh seasonal produce, you’ll find plenty of farmer’s markets running throughout the late spring into the fall months. Big box stores are situated 15-20 minutes in both directions in Langford (south) and Duncan (north).

  • 8. What sorts of people live at Mill Springs?

Mill Springs boasts a great mix of people from a variety of age categories and family types. A large proportion of our neighbourhood is composed of young professional families with children, as well as a significant population of ‘downsizers’ and retirees. One thing everyone has in common is a sense of community – it’s common to have the neighbours over for coffee and for everybody to look out for each other’s properties when somebody is away on vacation.
